Let us briefly introduce ourselves. The company HHI-KOMEX a.s. was established to promote sales and build-ups of photovoltaic power plants and photovoltaic modules by Hyundai Heavy Industries CO., LTD, headquartered in Korea (here after HHI) and to promote the supplier of silicon KOMEX INC., headquartered in Korea (here after KOMEX).

Hyundai Heavy Industries is one of the world’s largest producers and suppliers of vessels, power plant and engineering technologies, electric and electronic goods and equipments and, naturally, of photovoltaic modules and facilities.

The yearly turnover of Hyundai Heavy Industries reached CZK 306.540.762.000 in 2008, with the profit of CZK 48.308.610.000. The company was established in 1973 and forms a part of one of the world’s largest manufacturing and financial concerns, headquartered in Hyundai Bldg. ChongroKu 110-793 in Soul, South Korea. Since 1999, HHI Korea has been dealing with the development and production of photovoltaic technologies aimed at generating electricity from alternative resources, especially from the solar energy.

Hyundai Heavy Industries opened a factory in 2007 where silicon cells are produced and processed, and as one of few worldwide companies, it produces photovoltaic cells and photovoltaic modules, as well as converters and other electric and electronic components.

Hyundai Heavy Industries ai an important supplier of photovoltaic modules to the EU and since 2009 our company HHI-KOMEX a.s. has become a significant partner, providing the promotion of Hyundai Heavy Industries and KOMEX INC in the EU.

Another important business partner of ours is a Korean company KOMEX INC, headquartered in Starting B/D, 720-7, Yeoksam 2-Dong, Kangnam-Ku, Seoul, 135-920 Korea. It is the world’s prominent supplier of crude oil, natural gas and silicon from which photovoltaic modules are produced, for more than 45% of Asian producers.
The yearly turnover of KOMEX reached CZK 396.936.707.248 in 2008, with the profit of CZK 31.222.990.232. KOMEX is therefore the supplier of the most important components and raw materials needed for the production of photovoltaic modules.

Our company created a working group HHI GROUP EU which specializes in promotion, support and ensuring deliveries of photovoltaic modules, silicon cells and other technologies with the trade-name Hyundai by the company Hyundai, of services by KOMEX INC and services by DAEWOO INTERNATIONAL GmbH on the European continent.
